Alaska
Scenic Rafting Trips
The
Gulkana system was designated as wild and scenic by the Alaska
National Interest Lands Conservation Act in 1980. The stretch
of the Gulkana River used for our trips is Class I and Class II as
per the
internationally accepted rating system. Our experienced
guides know the Gulkana allowing for a safe and secure trip.
We offer two half day trips and a full day trip. Our trips are
perfect for the whole family including young children. The
abundance wild life along the Gulkana makes every bend in the river
an opportunity to experience nature. Wild life along the river
include moose, eagles,
caribou,
beaver, bear, and a variety of birds. The Gulkana River is
prime nesting habitat
for the bald eagle and you will see several nests along the trip.
It is common to see several dozen bald eagles, both overhead and
perched along the river. Of course, we can not guarantee
what you will see because it is WILD life.

Our private fishing club is right on the Gulkana
River.
